About Blaze's

Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue, Inc., located in Jones, Oklahoma, is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization that strives to improve the lives of neglected, starved and abused horses. We provide rehabilitation, education and adoption services. We promote and teach horse care and humane, natural methods for training horses. Our primary focus is animal cruelty cases. We work closely with the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office with their equine related animal cruelty cases. We also assist any other local/rural County Sheriff's Office who requests our assistance.

About the Events

Blaze's Hot to Trot has been organized to debut a new USATF certified 5K road race in Harrah for the runners of Oklahoma and to raise money and awareness for the rescued horses of Blaze's. The race is organized by Blaze's board members and volunteers and is professionally timed by DG Productions; one of Oklahoma's very own premier race organizers.

Blaze's Hot to Trot 1 mile Pajama Run is a fun, casual, family-friendly event and is meant to encourage adults and children to get out and have fun while exercising. Costume contest prizes will be awarded. Heritage Park features a playground, walking trails, one of the largest splash pads in Oklahoma, and concession stand that serves delicious onion burgers.

Race day entry fee for adults and children is $30 for the 5k and $25 for the Pajama Fun Run. Early registration is available online or by check and is offered at a $5 discount of $25 for the 5k and $20 for the fun run. All proceeds benefit Blaze's mission to provide basic needs, medical care, and rescue of equines regardless of age or disability. Purchases/Donations are non-refundable.

Race Day

Please remember this is an evening event so wear reflective attire, bring flashlights, and WEAR YOUR PAJAMAS (keep it family friendly!). Above all, let's all be safe and have fun. Glow-in-the-dark bracelets will be available for purchase.
