Photographer A’Lissa DeVorss lives in Stillwater, OK with her husband, son, and daughter. She earned her B.S. from Oklahoma State University, and though marketing was her major and business her goal, ultimately, photography was her heart. From the age of five, A’Lissa has cherished the magic of being able to save memories and capture the beauty of the world with nothing more than a camera. Completely self-taught in the art of photography, in June 2006 she successfully combined her marketing know-how with her creative passion when she opened Fat Cat Photography LLC.
A’Lissa photographs a diverse range of subject matter. She has been commissioned to do portraiture for children, horses, couples, families, and weddings to name a few. It’s often said people ‘feel’ her images.
Beyond photography, horses are another of A’Lissa’s great loves. She felt it was a natural move to marry the two. She is a member of the Equine Photographer’s Network. In April of 2008 A’Lissa accepted a position on the Board of Directors for Blaze’s Tribute Equine Rescue located in Jones, OK. Blaze’s is a non-profit rescue that works to rehabilitate abused and neglected horses with the ultimate goal of placing them in a forever home. A’Lissa believes there is no greater gift than to be able to use a God-given talent to make a positive difference.
